Exterior Painting Built for Georgia Weather

Curb appeal that holds up to Georgia weather.

Atlanta summers, sudden storms, and pine pollen are tough on exterior paint. We power-wash, scrape, caulk, prime, and apply two coats of premium exterior coating so your home looks great for years — not months.

What's included

  • Full power washing and surface prep
  • Scraping, sanding & caulking
  • Spot-priming bare wood and stains
  • Two coats of premium exterior paint
  • Trim, doors, shutters & soffits included

Why our exterior painting holds up

Exterior painting in metro Atlanta has to stand up to a lot — Georgia summer sun, sudden storms, pine pollen, and the daily humidity swings that make paint fail early on unprepared surfaces. Our exterior painting process is built around that reality: full power-washing, hand-scraping every loose edge, spot-priming bare wood, caulking siding seams and trim joints, and only then rolling and spraying two even coats of premium exterior paint.

Every exterior painting project we take on in Lawrenceville, Suwanee, Duluth, Alpharetta, Buford, and the surrounding cities gets the same approach, whether it's a single accent door or a full two-story repaint with shutters, soffits, fascia, and gutters. We also coordinate minor wood replacement and rot repair before we paint, so you don't end up paying twice for the same square foot of exterior trim.

A properly prepped exterior paint job using a premium exterior coating should hold its color and finish for 8–12 years on siding and 5–7 years on doors and high-sun trim. Every project includes a written warranty, with coverage depending on the type and scope of work, and we're happy to come back annually for a quick visual check at no charge.

Why exterior paint fails early in Georgia (and how we prevent it)

Almost every failed exterior paint job we get called to repair in metro Atlanta has the same three problems: no power wash before paint, no primer over bare wood, and only one coat of cheap exterior paint. Georgia humidity, summer UV, and pollen-coated surfaces make those shortcuts fail within 18 months. Our exterior painting process eliminates each one: full pressure or soft-wash, hand-scrape every failed edge, spot-prime every bare-wood exposure, and two even coats of premium exterior paint.

We also caulk every siding seam, window perimeter, and trim joint with a 50-year elastomeric caulk before the first coat — water intrusion behind paint is the #1 reason siding rots and exterior paint peels. That single step adds years to the life of an exterior repaint.

Hardie, brick, stucco, and wood — different prep, different paint

Hardie board (fiber cement) is the most common siding in newer Gwinnett County subdivisions. It takes paint beautifully when properly cleaned and primed, and we use 100% acrylic exterior coatings rated for fiber cement — typically Sherwin-Williams Duration or Emerald.

Brick is forgiving but unforgiving of the wrong product. We use breathable masonry coatings (Loxon, SuperPaint Masonry) so trapped moisture can escape — painting brick with a wall paint is a leading cause of efflorescence and peeling. Stucco gets the same breathable approach.

Wood siding, fascia, and trim need the most prep — scraping, sanding, priming bare wood, and two coats of exterior enamel. Most older Lawrenceville and Norcross homes have wood trim that needs this full process, and we don't cut corners on it.

Door and shutter refinishing

Front doors, garage doors, and shutters take more sun and weather than the rest of the exterior, and they're usually what guests notice first. We pull doors when needed, sand them down to a smooth surface, prime any bare wood or fiberglass, and finish with a premium exterior door enamel in your chosen color — often a saturated accent color that ties the exterior together.
